Psychological Assessments
Clear answers and practical recommendations to inform the right support.
A good assessment helps you understand how a person thinks, learns and functions day to day. At Positive Moods, our psychologists provide autism, ADHD, cognitive and psychological assessments that give participants, families and support teams the information they need for diagnosis, planning and NDIS support.
Choose Your Assessment
Autism Assessments
A comprehensive assessment to understand whether a person is autistic and what supports would help them. It looks at social communication, sensory experiences, interests and behaviours, using developmental history, interviews with the person and those who know them well, standardised assessment tools and observation. You’ll receive a diagnosis (if applicable) and clear recommendations for home, school, work and NDIS planning.
ADHD Assessments
A comprehensive evaluation of attention, hyperactivity and impulsivity across home, school and work. It includes clinical interviews, rating scales, observation and, where needed, additional testing, followed by a diagnosis (if applicable) and tailored recommendations.
Cognitive Assessments
Measures memory, attention, problem-solving, language, perceptual abilities and processing speed to build a picture of a person’s learning profile, strengths and areas needing support. Recommended for NDIS access and reviews, further education and work-readiness support, and where an intellectual impairment is suspected.
Psychological Assessments
A broader evaluation of psychological functioning, including emotional wellbeing, behavioural patterns and cognitive functioning. It draws on interviews, standardised tests, observations and self-report measures to guide diagnosis and treatment planning.
Not sure which assessment is right? Call us. Autism, ADHD and other conditions can overlap, so we’ll help you work out what will best answer your questions.
