Understanding the behaviour before changing it
Positive Moods supports NDIS participants and the people around them across the Gold Coast and South East Queensland. Whether a referral comes from a family, a support coordinator or a supported accommodation provider, we start by understanding why behaviours of concern are happening, then build a plan the whole support team can follow.
Our practitioners visit participants where that makes the most clinical sense, and use telehealth for reviews, team meetings and training. That flexibility helps households and support teams fit behaviour support around work, study and busy rosters.

One approach, used by everyone around the participant
Behaviour support works best when everyone responds in the same way. We work alongside families, support coordinators, SIL and supported accommodation providers and other therapists so that the strategies in the plan are understood and used consistently.
Training for support workers and carers is part of every plan, delivered in person or by telehealth, and we review how strategies are working so the plan keeps up with the participant.
