Ruby

Pronouns: She/They

I am a Behaviour Support Practitioner with a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Sydney and a background of seven years in social work, working with adults, children and families. I’ve worked in domestic and family violence support, family support, LGBTQIA+ support and the disability sector. I am passionate about everyone feeling seen and heard and am committed to supporting people to thrive, even in challenging circumstances. I work through systemic, structural and individual challenges with the people I work alongside. Non-judgement, openness, transparency, empathy and advocacy underpin my practice. I have experience in supporting autistic children and young people and myself am neurodivergent. My special interest areas are neurodivergence, disability support, support for children and young people as well as parenting and family support. My approach to practice is holistic, trauma-informed, intersectional, evidence-based, strengths-based, empowerment-focused and neuro-affirming.
