Rosa

Rosa is a behaviour support practitioner who graduated with a Bachelor of Psychology, specialising in Behavioural Science, from the Queensland University of Technology.

Over the past 12 years, Rosa has worked predominantly with children and young adults who have additional needs. Her experiences have been in both Australia and England within mainstream and special school environments as a teacher aide and outside of schools as an independent support worker. During her time as a support worker, she has worked with families at home and out in the community. In each role, Rosa has produced a range of strategies and applied her experience, knowledge and personal skills to encourage independence, safety awareness, and social, emotional and communication skills to those she works with.

Rosa is passionate about providing a client-centred approach and values her relationships with participants and their support teams as she works alongside them to develop and build the necessary skills to support development and quality of life. Rosa is honest, observant and understanding and is grateful to have gained and continue to develop the necessary skills and knowledge to incorporate into her role as a Behaviour Support Practitioner.
