Oftentimes, individuals living with disabilities struggle with doing day-to-day tasks due to the constraint brought by their condition. Since they may lack the functional capacity to perform basic tasks, they will struggle with their daily lives, and reaching their goals would be unattainable. It is for this reason that the Australian Government has created the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) to provide immediate and adequate support to Australian's living with permanent and significant disabilities. Through the NDIS Services, the citizens and residents of Ipswich who are suffering from a permanent and significant disability may contact Positive Moods, a registered NDIS service provider to get the support they need.

The NDIS Services Ipswich does not only aim to provide support but to also help the participants have a holistic and individualised treatment plan. This is to ensure that the NDIS funding is provided fairly and reasonably to eligible NDIS participants. Furthermore, the NDIS Services aims to change the lives of the participants by catering to different types of support services to ensure that all types of disabilities are given the suitable support they need. Since the participants have different needs, goals, and conditions, the NDIS Services consists of 15 types of support, including:

Improved Daily Living. The NDIS aims to improve the lives of the participants by providing improved daily living services. Under this support, NDIS will help the participants, their families, and carers by providing support at the participant’s home, and other places they often stay. NDIS can assist in doing daily tasks like preparing the meal, personal care, home maintenance, acquiring a temporary residence, and using transportation.

Improved Living Arrangements. Since individuals with disabilities are facing discomfort every day, NDIS provides the improved living arrangements service to ensure that the participants are living their best life. NDIS can provide support by improving the home of the participants to make it a comfortable dwelling. In addition, if the participants are renting a temporary lodging, the NDIS will extend its service to ensure that the participants have a comfortable accommodation.

Assistance with Daily Life. NDIS understands that individuals who are living with disabilities mostly have difficulties in performing simple daily tasks due to the restrictions caused by their condition. Thus, NDIS assists with daily life to change the lives of the participants by making it more convenient. Under this service, the NDIS can help by performing tasks like personal hygiene including bathing, toileting, dressing, or having a meal.

Improved Learning. Individuals with a disability may also lack the ability to learn skills that are vital to manoeuvre their environment and perform several tasks, resulting in restricted performance. To ensure that the participants can live independently in the future, the NDIS will provide different therapy, training, and related programs to help them enhance and build essential skills to accomplish daily tasks, and partake in the community.

Improved Health and Wellbeing. Apart from the daily struggles that the participants are facing, the NDIS also aims to help them have improved health and wellbeing. To ensure that the participants are well-rounded and healthy, NDIS provides holistic support to encourage a healthy lifestyle. The participant can take physical training, recreational programs, or be guided in planning healthy meals.

Improved Life Choices. Considering that individuals with a disability lack functional capacity, resulting in low self-esteem and inability to decide, the NDIS provides the improved life choices service. Under this support, NDIS will help the participants to make wise decisions that are beneficial to their life and goals. The participants will be provided with skills training about task management, monetary, contacting providers, and assist them to acquire the necessary support they need offered by the NDIS.

Improved Relationships. To achieve overall wellness, it is also important to encourage the participants to improve their social relationships. Thus, the NDIS can help the participants by offering family counselling, behavioural therapy, and other social development programs.

Transport. Some of the NDIS participants may experience difficulties in using public transportation caused by their disability. NDIS offers a transport service to ensure that the participants can go on with their lives. Nonetheless, the use of transport services comes with restrictions, and the travelling arrangement offered by the participant's service providers are not covered.

Consumables. After all, individuals living with disabilities will need to acquire daily necessities to manage and maintain their health condition. Through the consumables service offered by the NDIS, the participants can buy essential products such as wholesome goods and continence aids.

Home Modifications. To give the utmost support to the participants, the NDIS also offers home modification services to ensure that accommodation is suitable to their clients' needs, goals, and unique conditions. By providing home modifications, the participant's home will be easier to navigate. Essential products and adjustments will be installed such as mobility tools including chair lifts, bathroom railings, or ramps.

Assistive Technology. Moreover, the NDIS will provide the assistive technology service to help the participants perform tasks easily such as communication aids, mobility tools, or vehicle modification. Through assistive technology, the participant's lives will be easier.

Assistance with Social and Community Participation. To help the participants improve their level of engagement, through community events and socialisation, the NDIS will help them by providing access to activities and events in their community.

Increased Social and Community Participation. In addition to community events and activities, the NDIS also created their programs by group recreational activities that can enhance the possibility of interaction with new people. Through this, the participants can increase their socialisation and engagement.

Finding and Keeping a Job. NDIS can also assist the participants to have a stable life by finding and keeping a job. Since being employed equates to stability and independence, the NDIS can provide funding to the participants to build their resumes, adapt in their workplace, enhance skills necessary to keep a job, and provide referrals throughout the community.
