James

James is a dedicated Behaviour Support Practitioner who is passionate about supporting individuals of all ages in increasing their independence, achieving their goals, and living more fulfilling lives.

He has a Bachelor of Psychological Science (Honours) and is currently completing a Master of Professional Psychology. He also has firsthand experience implementing behaviour support plans as a disability support worker, giving him real-world understanding of the importance of collaboration and individualised care.

James has a particular interest in supporting people with emotional regulation, anxiety, depression, autism and ADHD. He will adapt his strategies to meet each person’s unique needs, whether that requires a patient approach or an upbeat, energetic approach, he focuses on building trust through empathy, encouragement, authenticity and respect.

James is committed to ensuring his practice is always person-centred and collaborative. He utilises evidence-based, trauma-informed, and strength-based techniques to empower individuals to reach their goals in a supportive and respectful environment.
