Catherine

Catherine is a registered social worker, having graduated with a Bachelor of Psychological Science and Master of Social Work.

She has volunteered and worked within the adult mental health sector, the education system alongside children with complex trauma, Aboriginal and Torres Strait islander youth and community led research. Catherine is passionate about using holistic, social work frameworks and interventions that empower and build upon a person’s strengths, capacities, and self-determination. She works specifically from a relationship-based, trauma-informed and person-centered approach and is committed to understanding the person within their environment to address specific barriers and structural inequalities present. She is deeply passionate about creating safe, caring and inclusive spaces for people to feel heard, validated and supported towards their own goals while understanding diverse backgrounds, values and needs.

Outside work, Catherine enjoys spending time with her loved ones and is always up for trying out a new hobby. She loves going to the gym, doing yoga classes, cooking new meals, taking care of her houseplants, watching Netflix and reading a good book.
